The Volvo prancing moose.

In 2002, when Volvo debuted its XC90 SUV, one of the 'tests' that potential buyers got to try was the "Moose Avoidance Test," where a big moose dummy is placed in the middle of the driving course. This was supposed to help demonstrate Volvo's Dynamic Stability Traction Control system, to avoid tipping when making hard turns. The moose was chosen most likely because it's a common obstacle for drivers in Sweden.

This shit really happens.

Since then, Volvo enthusiasts have embraced the moose as a symbol of Volvo (though it's certainly not official), and Dave Barton started creating and selling stickers with a 'prancing moose' on them (these are also a parody of the Ferrari horse).

Now, Sassa has one too! So if you see a Volvo with a prancing moose on it, now you know the story!
